Detestable Practices
9 When you enter the land the LORD your God is giving you, do not learn to imitate the detestable ways of the nations there. 10 Let no one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in [a] the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, 11or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead.
What could possibly be wrong with little kids who have fallen under the spell of reading?
We all want our children to love to read, but at what Spiritual Cost?
I cannot tell you how often I hear of Christians buying these books for their children and they seem to be just as excited as the kids. But Why?
The Bible has several verses that discuss how evil sorcery, witchcraft and the like are.
But why don’t the “parents” see and feel the risks of giving this material to their children, or reading it themselves?
Satan certainly had a plan, and he put it into action…How…Well who wouldn’t want their children to be up in the early morning hours reading a book and a large one at that?
Sadly, in todays world parents are quick to give their children whatever they are asking for, they often don’t have the time to sit down and read the book with them, so how can they know what the material inside will be?
Naturally children are easily taken in, by these deceiving books, it’s funny, exciting, scarey, why everything they could possibly want, and Best of all they want more!
Teachers across the Nation are Thrilled to see those precious little faces in those books, so who cares what it says inside as Long as the Child is reading!!!
This is where the danger comes in, the Bible has for the most part been taken out of the Public School system, in it’s place books of deception are allowed in.
As a mother I never allowed my now grown son or daughter to read a Harry Potter Book, or for that matter some of the older material that we often see in Nursery Rhymes.
This Nation has become polluted with the very things that the LORD warns us about, we have teenagers who think drinking blood and practicing witchcraft is Hilarious.
Parent’s regardless of your schedules, you should be aware of the hidden dangersthat are out there, satan wants your children, and putting material such as Harry Potter in front of them will make it easier for them to be lead astray. (If you have read Harry Potter material, repent and ask God for forgiveness.)
Some will say their NOT Practicing it, so what’s wrong with it?
What does GOD say, read the scriptures for it is loaded with Spiritual Tools, so you as a parent, grandparent OR reader of such material, can take the action necessary to win the fight!
